(Untitled) is the ninth album by the American rock band the Byrds and was released in September on Columbia Records (see in music). It is a double album, with the first LP featuring live concert recordings from early , and a second disc consisting of new studio recordings. The album represented the first official release of any live recordings by the band, as well as the first.

Way back in the year , a little-known record company called Together Records released a little gem of album called PREFLYTE by the finest sixties rock 'n' roll band, America's own, The Byrds. In that era most records were sold in drug stores and that's where I found this neat little curio/5(28).

Younger Than Yesterday is the fourth album by the American rock band the Byrds and was released on February 6, on Columbia Records (see in music). It saw the band continuing to integrate elements of psychedelia and jazz into their music, a process they had begun on their previous album, Fifth Dimension. In addition, the album captured the band and record producer Gary Usher.

Johnny Rogan, my favorite Byrds writer, uses the liner notes to share memories of how he first discovered the group. "Baby Blue" is the "Easy Rider" version. "Goin' Back" is the alternate take with David Crosby that appears as a bonus track on "Notorious Byrd Brothers," but beautifully remixed. Anyone new to the Byrds can take a crash course here/5().

Maybe the Byrds, who had only been around for about three years (the first "Byrds" record came out in '65), didn't crank out stuff (at least not albums) at the rate the Beach Boys did, but it's still kind of amazing (looking back from all these years later, when things are so different) that by August of '67, they had already put out four /5().

Aug 24,  · All are very good rxcept the Monkees resissues on vinyl. For some reason they sound dull, as if the treble is missing or as if there is a veil to the sound. I really like the Byrds resissues as well as the Dylan issues. I am looking at getting The United States of America lp and The Pretty Things SF Sorrow as well. Tim.
